The institution known as the Boston Red Sox is one of America’s best-loved baseball teams. The “Red Sox” name comes from their iconic logo, with the Red Sox sometimes being referred to as the BoSox, which blends the words “Boston” and “Sox”. So, as you see, the Red Sox jersey is an integral part of the Boston Red Sox history and has influenced all they have done and stand for. Whenever someone buys Red Sox tickets, they look for that famous logo, and they know they are gonna see the team they have devoted their lives too. No wonder they are called Red Sox Nation.

The Red Sox are based in Boston, Massachusetts, and at the time of writing are the defending 2007 World Series Champions. The Sox play in the American League Eastern Division and have played in Fenway Park since 1912. No wonder the Red Sox are considered one of the USA‘s most historical baseball teams.

The Red Sox were founded 11 years prior to moving to Fenway, in 1901. Ironically the Sox won the first World Series in 1903, and four more championships had come their way by 1918. The reason I use the word ironic in relation to the Boston Red Sox early success is because following this fertile period, they entered the longest championship drought in their baseball history. People tried to blame the “Curse of the Bambino“, the fall-out from trading babe Ruth with the hated Yankees, but more reasonable people (the minority!) chose to analyze the situation according to the way the Sox played the game itself.

In 2004, that long drought was finally over, and the Red Sox reversed the curse. They played the Cardinals, and Boston fans making the journey were hurriedly searching for St. Louis Cardinals tickets so they could see every bit of the action. When the Sox won that sixth World Series Championship they’d craved so long, all of Boston went totally insane.

The small size of Fenway Park causes the Sox to rank quite low in the attendance charts, but this ramps up demand for Red Sox tickets to fever pitch. The Red Sox have sold out every single home game since May 15, 2003, an incredible run of over four years.

A crowd of over three million people turned out to greet the Sox when they toured Boston with their trophy, little knowing that their Red Sox would do it again, just three years later. In 2007, the World Series was once again in the hands of the boys from Beantown, and the whole city went crazy. This time it was the Colorado Rockies tickets people were after – as they were the opponents -  and despite having achieved the the honor a few years earlier, the Sox felt this one just as sweetly.
